This policy explains how [Registered company name] (“Payzzo”, “we”) handles personal data collected through www.payzzo.in and the merchant sign-up form. Policies for the Payzzo app and Payzzo Business app will be published with those apps.

What we collect on this website

• Merchant sign-up: business and registered name, business type and category, owner’s name, mobile number, optional email and GSTIN, business address, number of outlets, approximate monthly UPI collections, the products you are interested in, your preferred language and any message you write.
• Security data: a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser’s user-agent and the time of your request, used to prevent spam and fraud.
• Session cookie: a strictly necessary cookie set only on the sign-up pages to keep the form, security check and one-time code together. Other pages set no cookies. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

• To verify your mobile number with a one-time code sent by SMS.
• To contact you by phone or SMS about setting up Payzzo, and to create a draft merchant profile for our onboarding team.
• To protect the form from abuse, through rate limits and a CAPTCHA.

We rely on your consent, given when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.

Who we share it with

Your details are visible to Payzzo’s operations team in the Payzzo Console, under our Online Payzzo Channel. We use an SMS provider registered on India’s DLT platform to send the one-time code. If you choose the Cloudflare Turnstile or hCaptcha security check, that provider processes the check. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

If you do not become a Payzzo merchant, we delete or anonymise sign-up details within [12] months. Security logs are kept for up to [90] days.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights. Write to privacy@payzzo.in. Our Grievance Officer is [name], reachable at the same address.

Security

The website runs over HTTPS with strict security headers. It writes to our database with an account that can add sign-ups but cannot read other merchants’ details.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
